Training of water professionals and university staff in Jordan
2020 - 2022
In 2020 the OKP project WATRA started, a collaboration between Al-Balqa’ Applied University (BAU) in Jordan, IHE Delft and World Water Academy. The project aims to contribute to end hunger, double smallholder productivity and income and ensure the sustainability and resilience of food production systems by 2030. Within the project span of two years a total of 84 drinking water and wastewater professionals took part in hands-on training courses.
WWA prepared and executed a benchmark with the Training Center of Haya Water in the second half of 2014. In three shifts, the staff members and the management (in total five persons) came over to the Netherlands to learn about the philosophy and the procedures of Wateropleidingen.
