About Ilse Pieterse-Quirijns
My background experience lies in research and education. During my research in the drinking water sector, I became fascinated by the world behind our drinking water in the Netherlands. Despite the major challenges, both the supply and quality of our drinking water continue to meet high standards. Because I wanted to inspire students about drinking water, data, and modelling and due to the ageing workforce I made the transition to education ten years ago.
As a Program Manager for drinking water at World Water Academy, everything comes together. I aim to contribute to the preservation and development of the knowledge needed for a future-proof drinking water supply.
