From 5-16 June, Johan Oost went to South Africa for the return visit of the Exchange Programme for South African Process Controllers (PCs). In March the South African PCs went to The Netherlands for a two week programme with dedicated field trips and workshops to experience the Dutch best-practices.

The start-up meeting to discuss the design of the course Weather Smart Water Resource Management was held on October 2nd of 2017 in Nelspruit. The management of Inkomati-Usuthu Catchment Management Agency (IUCMA) and of World Water Academy (WWA) discussed the draft programme. The aim is to combine knowledge and skills in Water Resource Management, Weather forecasting, creating dashboards and how to provide information for the stakeholders.

The Wetskills Water Challenge is a proven concept for Young Professionals and students with Bachelor+ background, worldwide organized by the Wetskills Foundation. The topics are based on broader themes and innovations. The teams of talents are challenged to think outside the box. They present during special events, these presentations contain a lot of interaction between generations

AQUAVET project ends succesfully

AQUAVET project has come to an end

The last three years World Water Academy (WWA) was part of the AQUAVET project, funded by Erasmus+ programme with partners from Greece, Spain, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Dissemination of the activities was the main focus in the last part of this project.

Wetskills makes a delta tour in the Netherlands

From 19 October to 2 November 2017, during the Amsterdam International Water Week (AIWW), 23 young water professionals from around the world will participate in a Wetskills Challenge in the Netherlands. For two weeks, the participants will work in mixed teams on cases of governments, companies, knowledge institutes and water authorities from home and abroad.
