World Water Academy launches new e-learnings in Bangladesh!

Asset and Data Management 20 August 2026

An important milestone has been reached within the Flowing Forward programme: dedicated e-learning programmes on Asset Management (AM) and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) are now available to partners in Bangladesh’s water sector.

Two learning journeys, one shared objective

The Asset Management e-learning, developed for the learning journey with the Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB), provides a shared foundation in key Asset Management concepts and supports upcoming training activities focused on strengthening data-driven decision-making, planning and sustainable management of water infrastructure.

The Public-Private Partnerships e-learning introduces key PPP concepts and principles and provides a common foundation for the wider PPP learning journey. It supports professionals in strengthening their understanding of how PPP projects can be identified, developed and structured in the water sector.

Feedback from early reviewers has been positive. Colleagues from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, together with technical experts and our local partner Innovision Consulting, have shared encouraging responses during the review process.

From online learning to practical application

Both e-learnings form the starting point of broader learning journeys combining online learning, practical face-to-face training, real-life cases and knowledge exchange. They are also designed to make knowledge accessible to a wider group of professionals and support continuity and knowledge sharing within participating organizations.

Building capacity for long-term impact

Through Flowing Forward, World Water Academy and its partners aim to strengthen institutional capacity and contribute to more sustainable management, development and financing of water infrastructure in Bangladesh.

We are proud to see these first digital learning components being used by our Bangladeshi partners and look forward to building on them throughout the programme!
