Water efficient technologies for plumbers
Learning targets
Water is scarce but vital for human wellbeing. Recent droughts became a severe threat for the production of crops and supply of water. Due to old infrastructure, poor installation or insufficient maintenance of water utilities in buildings, water is spoilt unnecessarily. A plumber needs to repair leakages, but meanwhile he/she can advise a customer to consider to use water efficient technologies. This leads to a decrease of drinking water use, which beneficial to both environment and water supply.
This course focuses on the technical background of new water efficient technologies, such as rainwater harvesting and greywater reuse systems. The systems are explained in detail. You learn how to install, maintain and service these water efficient technologies.
