High level delegation of Rand Water visits World Water Academy

IHE-Delft and World Water Academy combine forces with advanced operation & maintenance course in Egypt.

In collaboration with IHE Delft, World Water Academy was responsible for the development of a tailor-made course and providing an expert trainer. Course coordinator Bram Ooms was involved in the preparation of the course.

With more than 260 facilities around the world, Darling Ingredients is the largest publicly traded company turning edible by-products and food waste into sustainable products and is a leading producer of renewable energy. Darling Ingredients repurposes approximately 15% of the world's meat industry waste streams into value-added products, such as green energy, renewable diesel, collagen, fertilizer, animal proteins and meals and pet food ingredients.

World Water Academy was present at the #cocreateMYCITY event, held at the Elangeni Hotel in Durban and saw young professionals pitch their solutions for water challenges to a jury of experts, and the presentation of a prize to the top group of professionals. These innovative solutions and the inclusion of youth in the water sector provide hope for a more sustainable, inclusive and secure water future for South Africa, and specifically the City of eThekwini.
